The Cells Series involves the subdivision and categorization of space. The “categories” are born from themselves, again and again, like boxes within boxes, emerging; only each time they reemerge, they reform. There are differences which bind them, while at the same time hurtling them into another universe, to find themselves again. And then again.

The process of creating these images happens entirely within a given digital device, using all that the applications allow, and then some.
The Cells are bound tightly within the confines of their edges, and hold color within. The color is a fluid wash in some sub-groups within this series of images, while color is within the confines of geometry in others.
This series is meant to be viewed on a digital display, but can also be viewed as a print.
