The Truck Stop Series started in 2024, and it continues.  As with other series, the focus has shifted: it takes time to realize what you are looking for and what you want to learn, and why. 

It seems that in regard to all the activity at truck stops, it was the drivers themselves who were of greatest interest, and that simply observing what drivers do when, for instance,  they are taking a break inside a convenience store, was not going to be enough information. Portraits soon became the focus: that is, portraits and asking questions about life on the road. Further, the questions became more concerned with a limited number of questions, such as what can those of us on the road in our cars learn from these professional drivers who move the things of life for all of us, from one side of the country to the other.
