The BLACK AND WHITE DOUBLES Series works with a limited set of elements. The elements are photographs of the natural world,  bits of twig and ground, which go abstract as they are used, as they are moved and transformed into a story with no narrative.  There is reformatting and turning and recombining of blackness and whiteness, as if these are frames of film cut apart and reorganized, without any sense of a timeline. And yet, the pictures are true to the twigs and ground, which remain present.

The thinking, the exercise, the concern here, is not unlike that of the PANELS DOUBLES Series.
